The Van Buren Public Library is a great resource for any information you need. They have an extensive children's section with many programs for children. I LOVE their audiobook selection. The staff is very knowledegible and helpful. If they don't have the book you are looking for, they will do everything they can to get it for you. Their hours are great for anyone. They also operate on contributions since they don't charge overdue fines.

The Van Buren library has been a god send to help keep my grandson entertained this summer. They have had a fun reading program and an very educational summer science program (that has even taught me lots of stuff). They had a party for the kids that included renaissance characters, a water slide, bounce arounds, lots of games (and prizes) and refreshments. What a wonderful way for kids to have fun and learn at the same time.
